Waiting for the new bill of the Ministry of Energy.

There are many meetings and many different views on the investment in RES and mainly regarding the PV installations there in the Ministry of Environment & Energy. Discussions, contacts, meetings and all this are pending the new bill, which is expected to come to mid-February by mid-February. There are different views on Energy Communities and whether they should continue to take precedence over other investor-farmer applications, but there is total agreement among the Ministry's stakeholders on the exemption from environmental licensing of 500kW - 1MW and more generally the direction to increase the threshold for environmental licensing for hundreds of small and medium-scale photovoltaic projects.

Regarding the Integrated Licensing Information System, the one that will automatically print out the investor certificate (after the production license has been revoked), everyone agrees that it should be ready and fully operational before the end of 2020. the best-case scenario says this will be an attempt to get ready for the June contests, but it looks pretty optimistic.

On the other important issue of networks, we expect a responsible response to the problem that exists throughout the Greek region. Without meaningful political intervention and a solution to the problem by immediately upgrading the electricity transmission system, no project will be able to be implemented and the 2030 target will be unattainable.

In the coming weeks, it is true that the market and investors are awaiting decisions that will change and upgrade the RES framework with a bill being prepared by those in charge of the Ministry of Environment & Energy. Until then, applications are still being prepared and investor expectations remain for a fair development of RES in our country.
